I recently needed to consolidate a large set of intranet name suggestions submitted by employees of a client. The raw data came in through Microsoft Forms where each person contributed anywhere from one to a dozen ideas — sometimes with explanations, sometimes with paragraphs of narrative, and sometimes with multiple names packed into a single cell.
What could have easily taken hours of manual cleanup, parsing, and reformatting was completed in minutes.
Copilot extracted every unique intranet name, matched each one to the correct person, and generated a clean, structured dataset with one row per person per name. It handled inconsistencies, removed duplicates, normalized formatting, and produced a ready‑to‑use CSV that I can now share with leadership to pick a contest winner.
This wasn’t just a simple copy‑and‑paste job — it was thoughtful data interpretation, pattern recognition, and transformation that saved me a significant amount of time and effort. Instead of spending my afternoon wrangling spreadsheets, I got to focus on the strategic work that actually moves projects forward.
